Abbey Ockinga, a lecturer for BDS 101, earned her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the University of Nebraska. Ockinga has commercial interior design experience specializing in materiality, space planning, and building information modeling. Prior to the University of Kansas, Ockinga taught Interior Architecture and Product Design courses at Kansas State University. She is currently working on a Master of Urban Planning degree, focusing on Housing and Development.
