Bruce Wagman comes to KU from the world of commercial photography.
After earning a degree in Film and Television from Montana State University in 1975, he directed the 5:30 news and worked with commercial production for a local television station and then produced ad agency stills and video for 8 seemingly endless years before breaking free to build his own studio operation.
His four-decade career in commercial work included professional relationships with agencies Leo Burnett, Hill and Knowlton and Integer Group, producing product and annual report photographs for Fortune 500 companies such as Maytag, Hoover, Argosy Gaming and the Farm Bureau and Allied insurance companies.
His editorial work has appeared in Newsweek, Time and USA Today.
Bruce has a clipboard that clasps a 2-inch-thick stack of Addy awards. He claims, however, that they don’t taste very good— even if you are starving.
